A. It takes imagination to spur on curiosity and create questions for science to investigate. Humans are perhaps the only known creature to display imagination (although some may argue otherwise). With imagination comes wonder about a thing, any thing. We want to know: how does it work, why does it do what it does, etc. With the process of imagination, thinking is involved. And to understand science, one must think, one must imagine. One example is the wonder of light. In ancient times, we have seen it in many forms. Along our timeline, people started to think and thus imagine how does it work. Where does it come from. Can we create it. And in the modern times of today, we are witnessed to our debt of the imagination. Science took all the… [cont.]

A. Ford was a member of the Warren Commission. I think they wanted to keep a real close eye on him, so they kept him around for 'security' purposes. I loved his WIN campaign - Whip Inflation Now - with the buttons and all.

A. it might be near the Emily Carr Institute of Art Design and Media since the lady who made it is a student there. you might get clues by looking at the photos in the links below. i just looked at google earth and compared the photos to the intersection of maple and 4th avenue west. it looks like if you go east from that intersection, it will be on top of the fourth building on the right.

What do these Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry Thoreau quotes mean?
Q. Hey I'm does a Language Arts project on transcendentalism and I'm having a little trouble understanding these quotes. I can't seem to understand the deeper meaning of these quotes. I have a great deal of company in my house; especially in the morning, when nobody calls." To be awake is to be alive." Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Asked by Jack - Sat Nov 21 17:45:33 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The first one sounds like Thoreau... he finds company in things other than human beings. For instance in Walden he talked about how he left his fire on when he left his home, and it looked after his things. He also talked about his friendships with mice. Perhaps he is even talking about the conversations he has with himself in his head. It's hard to say exactly without more context. The second one seems to be saying that life is consciousness, that the point of life is to do things, see things, and engage with the world.

A. Mr. DanJ is pretty close, but I have found that sending people to 231 has a tendency to send them into oblivion. I would take I-10 West, and then take SR 121 South (Macclenny exit), SR 121 goes right through Lake Butler (where I live), and takes you on to Gainesville, where it becomes 34th Street and takes you to US 441. A little less complicated, I suspect. And you're right. Both towns are notoriously corrupt, and Starke and Hampton are right behind them...we're all praying for the day that a 301 bypass will put all four depts out of the traffic business.

Q. The quote is- Popularity is for dolls; a hero cannot be popular what does it mean?
Asked by Charles - Sun Dec 14 19:42:35 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I think it means that the goal of being super popular, having every one approve of what you do and like you, is only for people void of any real sustenance, like dolls - pretty on the outside, but not a whole lot on the inside. A hero, one who always does what is right regardless of who stands in opposition or what that hero stands to lose, is not going to be popular. If you always do what is right, you won't be popular with everyone. you're eventually going to tick some people off.
